TYNDALL EFFECT
TYNDALL EFFECT :
-Phenomenon of scattering light
happens mostly in colloids in which the particles scatter light in all direction
-Can be observed by Ultra microscope
Condition:
*wavelength of light < diameter of colloidal particles
* NDM-NDP
The difference should be of large value
N-Refractive index, DM- Dispersion Medium, DP- Dispersed medium
Discovered by John Tyndall, faraday
The differentiation was the particles do not scatter when the solution is a True solution because the particles are too small to scatter light
